Therapeutic Approaches

  • Humanistic/Client-Centered Therapy

This approach allows the Client and Therapist to be equal partners allowing the Client to take control of improving their lives with the Therapist providing congruence, unconditional positive regard, and empathy. Person Centered Therapy will help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and worldview to accomplish a greater sense of self-awareness and independence.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

This is an evidenced based intervention that encourages Clients to change their thought patterns and behaviors to a more pleasurable perspective. CBT focuses on confronting the current issue one might experience by changing their negative thought and behavior patterns to improve their overall mental state. Your Therapist will encourage you to apply your new learned patterns through therapy to your daily life to accomplish a positive outlook on your life.

  • Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy

This approach allows the Client to be present and conscious of their own mental, physical, and emotional condition without judgment. It combines cognitive therapy, meditation, and present oriented mindfulness techniques. The Therapist will be present with the Client through this meditative process serving as a guide to help the Client focus on and their bodily sensations, cognitions, and feelings to accomplish self-control.

Payment Options

We are currently in network with BCBS/Anthem and Optum/United Healthcare (UMR, Student Resources) & United Healthcare EAP. Please refer to your health insurance provider to determine benefits, deductible and copay amounts for behavioral health using tele mental health services or walk and talk therapy services. If you do not see your insurance company listed, you may be able to use out of network benefits where a superbill can be printed for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement purposes. Loveland vouchers can also be used as client reimbursement. Please refer to your health insurance company to determine the reimbursement amount, if any.

For copayments and coinsurance, we accept all major credit cards. Copayments/Service Fees are due prior to your appointments. Again, please determine your copay amount and coverage through your insurance provider for outpatient behavioral health services therapy services prior to your initial consultation.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  1. Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits for outpatient services?

  2. Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  3. Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  4. Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

  5. Will tele-mental health be covered under my plan?
